Book suggestions, please?

What I would suggest is the series Dragons In Our Midst by Bryan Davis. They are a series of 4 books featuring dragons, there is also a spin-off series called Oracles of Fire, but you should read the original 4 first. The first book is called Raising Dragons, there is also no romance, or very little if you look for it really hard.
