Do you think the translation of the bible should take place in order to benefit a King?

My King James version (at least 100 years old) says in the foreword 'in maintaining the truth of Christ, and propogating it far and near, is that which hath so bound and firmly knit the hearts of all Your Majesty's loyal and religious people unto You, that Your very name is precious among them' - with all due respect to His Majesty, should the purpose of any bible translation be primarily for the Most High God so that his very name is made precious. Also it says 'we have great hope that the Church of England shall reap good fruit . . . humbly craving of Your Most Sacred Majesty . . . it may receive approbation'. There is very little of the 1 1/2 page foreword that seeks the approval of our creator - about only 1/2 a sentence in fact. Should not the bible be translated for the benefit of all readers and not in order to please a King and his political needs - i.e. to keep the Pope out and be allowed to make decisions regarding issues like divorce?
