Americans: What do you think about the commandos who went into Pakistan (Bin Laden)?

I seemed to think just after the raid it said on the news that the seals had "left their base" so does America already have an air base or something already in Pakistan? although they could have come from that aircraft carrier (USS carl vincent,was it) where they buried him at sea?? As a British citizen also (who has always supported America) I too would have been very angry if they had come into any part of the UK in a similar manner,and I too would have wanted them to be treated as hostile.I do think our air defences are a bit better than the Pakistanies! I also think we would have known he was hiding here and taken our own action against Bin Laden.
